Troops in the Field |
It's time to send our newly trained archers out into the field. Look at the Scouting Map and send your champions and troops on a routine scouting mission.
Quest Objectives Use the Scouting Map and complete the mission, "Troops in the Field." |
The mission you need to complete is called "Troops in the Field" and should be the only one you have available. This is an 8 hour mission unless one of your followers can counter the threat that makes it long (which you'll see on down, that you do).
As I explained in the last quest guide, troops, such as the squad of archers, can only go on a limited number of missions before they are exhausted and you'll need to recruit more. The hearts show their vitality or health.
Any threats that your followers face that has an hourglass symbol next to it will increase mission duration if they're not countered. In this case, Loren Stormhoof will be able to counter this, and the Marksmanship.
You will likely need both champions and your troops in order to get this mission to 100%. The reward is Survivalist Bahn.
Even with the threat that lengthens the mission countered, the mission will still take 4 hours. This is one of the intentional wait mechanics that Blizzard programmed into the order hall quest chains.
Once the mission is complete, you will have this menu to complete it.
Troops in the Field |
You completed this mission with 100%, so the objective is complete.
Your archers can still go on one more mission, and you will be warded Survivalist Bahn.
The scouting mission was more successful than we could have imagined, <Name>. Your troops were able to rescue Survivalist Bahn, a cunning strategist.
In thanks, he has agreed to lend his skill to our cause. |
