Save Yourself |
Of course I couldn't sit back and let them just cart you away.
I will explain everything. Quest Objectives Speak with Farondis and hear his account of how he saved you. |
In order to hear Farondis' story, you have to talk to him. The following dialogue will appear, "Listen well, <Name>."
You will ask him what happened. |
At this point, you will be in control of Farondis' body, starting out just outside of the academy where you left him. He will say, "Guilt overcame me. I could not simply WAIT while you fought my battles. I resolved to follow you into the academy." Walk across the bridge to advance the quest.
"I'd only reached the academy entrance when I saw those two naga, with you in tow."
Athissa will say, "Make sure that prisoner doesn't awaken, Parjesh."
He will respond, "Yes, my mistress."
The two naga will then leave. You will need to follow them.
You will be attacked by various Hatecoil as you follow the naga. Just use your spells to take care of them. 1&2 are damaging spells, 3 is blink.
Prince Farondis says, "I followed them as closely as I dared. I saw my chance. I would attack the naga leaders and save you from captivity." |
Athissa and her cohort will stop in a wrecked veranda.
Athissa will yell, "Be gone, spirit! The Tidestone belongs to us now!"
Warlord Parjesh will leave dragging your body. He'll say, "You deal with our guest, Athissa. I shall take the prisoner to the slave pens."
Once you damage Athissa down to about 25%, she will yell, "Curse you and your kind, elf. The queen herself will hear of this!" and will leave.
After she leaves, Farondis will say, "Athissa and the Tidestone had evaded me. Rather than pursuing her, I set off to rescue you, my champion."
Athissa will go straight across the bridge. You don't want to follow her that way. Instead, turn to the right just before the bridge onto the dirt path, where in this shot, you can see the murlocs coming from. |
Not far down that little path, you'll find a cave. Once you reach that, Farondis will say, "I had finally found their slave pen."
Before you can enter the cave, you will see a shadowy figure in the doorway. Farondis will say, "At the entrance to the cave, however, I ran into an old acquaintance."
The shadowy figure is a Vision of Queen Azshara. She will say, "Farondis! My most loyal subject. It's been too long."
Farondis will obviously not recognize her, and will say, "That voice..."
She will respond, "I'm sorry, you must not recognize me."
She will then change her appearance from a naga to a night elf. She'll say, "Is this better?"
Farondis will say, "Queen Azshara... you.. YOU lead the naga?"
"Poor, deluded Farondis. Don't you remember? I quashed your rebellion ten thousand years ago. Do you remember how powerless you were to stop me?"
"And look at you now! A spectre of your former self, cursed to an eternity of undeath and ineptitude."
"I'm giving you an opportunity to kneel before me, princeling. Maybe something can be done about that little curse..."
Farondis will say, "To release my people's curse... to redeem myself and secure my legacy..."
Farondis will say, "The people of Azsuna were-- and always will be-- too proud to kneel before your demonic allies, witch."
"And we will NEVER..."
"KNEEL..."
Save Yourself |
"BEFORE YOU!!!" And Farondis will shoot spells at Queen Azshara.
Queen Azshara will laugh as she leaves. "Ha ha ha haaa... my wrath is coming."
After she's gone, you'll be able to go into the cave and kill the two naga standing over your body. |
What happened, Farondis?
