One Fer the Ages |
I'm sure by now ye've heard the tale o' Old Ironjaw, the most famous and elusive fish in the waters o' Ironforge's Forlorn Cavern. Well, in his many years, he's been responsible for the rise o' many young ironjaws. Don't let the name fool ye, <name>, these young'uns are every bit as clever as their dad, but somewhat lackin' in experience.
With skill an' patience, ye could probably catch one, an' when ye do, bring it to the museum in Ironforge's Library an' put it on display fer all to see! Quest Objectives Catch a Young Ironjaw in Ironforge's Forlorn Cavern and display it in the Library near the Empty Plaque. |
You have to be in the Forlorn Cavern to catch the young ironjaw. Just walk to the pool across from Grimnur and fish until you catch it. According to Wowhead, it has a 0.4% drop rate, but it didn't really take me very long (5 minutes?) to catch it. Fun fact: You can also catch the Cold Mountains Music Scroll in this pond as well as Old Ironjaw.
|
Once you catch the fish, it will appear in your inventory. You will then be able to go display your catch.

One Fer the Ages |
Go to the Hall of the Explorers and the museum where there are other statues and plaques.
|
On the far wall, near the entrance to the library, is the empty plaque. Click on the young ironjaw in your bags or on your objectives bar to place it, and then return to Grimnur.
|
Well done, <name>! Maybe seein' yer catch will inspire more dwarves to take up fishin'!
